Belgrade dissolves the Kosovo government and takes complete control over the autonomous area.
01.07.1990 DDR Economic, Monetary and Social Union of the two German states. Second Trusteeship Law comes into force. All check points on the inner-German border and sector borders are removed.
02.07.1990 DDR Citizens of the DDR start swapping their Ostmarks for Deutsche Marks.

Kosovar delegates of the dissolved Kosovo Assembly, locked out of the State Assembly building, make their declaration of independence on its steps, but commit themselves to remaining in the Yugoslav federation. Ibrahim Rugova, leader of the Albanian Democratic Union, states that the Kosovars are simply demanding equal rights with the Serbs.
